Great Halloween Dog Treat Ideas

What does your dog want this Halloween? Treats, of course! Pumpkin, in moderation, is safe and healthy for dogs and pumpkin flavored spooky treats make a perfect Halloween dog treat.

Having a dog Halloween party or just celebrating with your own pooch? Here's a fun idea. Hide some yummy, all natural dog treats around the yard for your dog to sniff out. Barney and Coco, our dogs, absolutely love trick or treating in our backyard!

If you are going outside of the backyard with Fido this Halloween, stick to all natural dog treats, no human food and definitely no candy of any kind especially chocolate which is toxic for dogs. Carob is a dog safe alternative to chocolate and super yummy.

Dog Ripped the Couch, Again?!

Had to share this great find! Absolutely love, love, love this concept and company! Your dog rips a hole in the couch, what do you do? Replace it or live with it. We found this great company where you can replace just the parts of the couch that need replacing.

We recently replaced our old sectional because our dogs Barney and Coco ruined it. They (well I am not quite sure which one, neither is coming forward but going on the guilty look on Coco's face, I am pretty sure it was him) chomped a hole in the new sectional. Of course, we only had it for two months. Thankfully, the new sectional came from this great company that offers what they term "Renewability". You can replace any fabric or foam part on their couches and sectionals any time. Our couch looks brand new again and the replacement cushion cover was a lot cheaper ($18 plus shipping) than replacing the entire couch! We picked the "pet safe" and washable fabric. This fabric has built in stain and odor protection...even better.

Make sure to get a fabric sample before ordering. The pet safe fabric is almost velvety. I personally love it but would suggest ordering a sample. It really is liquid resistant. I tested it. The frame of the couch can hold more than 2,000 pounds and has tons of built in storage. It is delivered ready to assemble, but this was not difficult at all. I chose the Brook style sectional that has foam back cushions that wrap over the top and stay snugly in place. These work better than pillow backs with Barney and Coco because they aren't tempted to attack the back cushions.

Hope this helps someone in the same predicament.
